Tables, furniture and joinery can be stripped, sanded, repaired, recoloured, painted, lacquered or polished depending on the timber and desired result.
WOOD PREPARATION
A table with a worn lacquer needs a different route from stained solid timber, veneer, painted joinery or an oiled surface. We identify what is there first, then decide whether the old finish should be cleaned, keyed, stripped or sanded back further.
Edges, veneer thickness, repairs and previous stains matter because aggressive sanding can permanently change details or cut through thin decorative layers.
FINISH OPTIONS
Protect and reveal the timber with a suitable clear system.
Adjust colour while retaining visible grain where the substrate allows.
Change furniture or joinery to an opaque colour, including coordination with MDF or interiors.
Improve worn surfaces, local damage and sheen where practical without unnecessarily replacing the item.
TABLES & FURNITURE
A table finish must balance appearance with the expected wear. Preparation, colour, coating type and final sheen are discussed around how the piece is actually used.
For removable furniture and components, collection, workshop finishing, protective packing and return can be discussed as part of the project.
